Shri Annamacharya 6th Centenary Celebration

  • BHAJAN CONCERT ON HANUMAN JAYANTHI: A repertoire of Bhajans specially chosen for the occasion and excerpts from Ram Charit Manas left the audience enthralled. They joined her in ecstasy as she sang “Shri Ramchandra Kripalu” in the end. Rated as a very highly successful program where there was instant rapport with the audience.

VASANTHA LAKSHMI Concert

  • SWAMI HARIDAS SANGEET SAMMELAN & KAL KE KALAKAR IN 1987. She sang at the THYAGARAJA DAY CELEBRATIONS organised by the A.P. Bhawan in 1992.

  • BHAJAN SAMMELAN organized by Sur Singar Samsad of Bombay in 1988

  • Sang at the TULSI DAS BI-CENTENARY CELEBRATIONS at Bhopal

  • Sang a major chunk of “Ram Charit Manas (Manas Gaan)” for AIR and also several Concerts based on the same.

  • Bhakti Sangeet and Gujarati Ghazal Concerts organised by AIR Baroda and was acclaimed for her voice and rendition

Old Concert

  • Geeta Govindam was presented as an opera with Shadow Play in the KALIDAS MAHA SAMAROH under the aegis of All India Radio, Bhopal. This program has received rave reviews in all the local newspapers. All the numbers in the program were composed by Vasantha Lakshmi and the songs of Radha were presented by her. The program was conceived by Mr. Joseph ‘Venniyur’, Station Director, All India Radio, Bhopal

  • NIRGUN BHAJAN CONCERT (HINDI) at the India International Center in 1998 and in India Habitat Center in April, 2001 which was very highly acclaimed in major Telugu Dailies.

Recieving award

  • Presented RADHA GEETAM (SANSKRIT)– a Thematic Concert of Radha’s Ashtapadis from Jayadeva’s Geeta Govindam at India Habitat in the HCL Sponsored Center Series in September, 1999. The same was presented at the India International Center in 1990. Both the times, the concert was very well received

Vasantha Lakshmi performance

  • Vasantha Lakshmi is the FIRST INDIAN WOMAN to, sing at St. Paul’s Cathedral, London in the MAHATMA GANDHI CENTENARY CELEBRATIONS that took place in 1969. This function was attended by dignitaries like the Arch Bishop of Canterbury, Lord Mountbatten and the Commissioner of the Indian High Commission, UK. She also Sang at several others concerts in London including one in the Imperial College of Science and Technology Indian Students Association during the Independence Day Celebrations. Her Programs were telecast on BBC.

  • Performed at Bonn, Germany under the aegis of the Indian Bonn Association.
